I was deeply saddened to hear of the famous athlete, Kobe Bryant’s, death with his daughter leaving behind his wife with three children–one being a newborn. How sad. I pray that God brings down the peace that passes all understanding.
This weekend I attended a faith-based parenting, marriage, finance, communications seminar called First Steps to Success. One of the messages on Friday was that we are in a new decade and how will we make this decade different from the last one. We also heard the message that some of us will not be here a decade from now and we are not guaranteed tomorrow. Wow! That hit home with Kobe’s death.
But as the weekend went on, we were empowered with tools, techniques and skills that would help us have an exceptional year and decade if we apply them…but guess what?
A decade ago, I attended my first First Steps to Success seminar and applied what I learned and it radically changed my marriage, life, and finances! In the past decade of using the training, I have gone from living paycheck to paycheck, drowning in debt, crying fits weekly because my marriage and life were a wreck to increasing our household income 10X, paying off $700,000 in debt and back taxes, peace in my heart, home and marriage.
So cool, right? It really is. I dragged hundreds of my friends and family over this past decade and those that applied what they learned have awesome stories too!
Theresa created supplemental retirement income
Theresa, a retired secretary, purchased a small $5,000 investment and in a little over a year, she had paid off her investment and was profiting $300-$400 a month.

Kim lost 85 lbs and GAINED better relationships
Kim’s body and life were a mess prior to First Steps to Success. In two years of applying the training, she has been able to restore relationships and release 85 pounds of weight, is the co-owner of the Yogalift Statesville, NC, and is training for a marathon.
For Joy and Hans, poverty STOPS here
Joy and Hans Hinterkopf brought their two children, parents, and co-workers to First Steps to Success.
Their children took the tools and created small businesses where a portion of the revenue built homes in Nicaragua for families who were previously living and working in the dumps. The new homes were in a safe area, and the parents were given chickens and taught skills to provide for their futures.
They took the tools and changed their lives. Joy, a homeschooling mom and horse lover, was able to create one successful business whose monthly profits are now pouring into her passion for horses and new equestrian business. Hans, a Physician’s Assistant, now has been able to advance his career and runs a practice specializing in women’s hormone and mold toxicity issues.
These are just a few of the stories of my friends that applied what they learned over the last decade!
So what will this decade look like for you? Do you have a plan or tools to improve things in your life and finances? If the answer is “no,” I want you to meet my friend, Tammy.

She plugged into First Steps to Success and was able to pay off all of her debt, heal her relationships, find and marry the man of her dreams, and get an amazing job at DaniJohnson.com helping tailor clients training for their best future.
If you are ready for a change (little or big) she can help you. Give her a call at 830-225-1639 or email her at tammy@danijohnson.com and be sure to give her my name. She is my personal friend and gives the best care to our friends, family, and clients.
